Scoring
Room: 8/10
Bathroom: 9/10
Service: 14/15
Arrival Experience: Was greeted by any bellmen host who confirmed my reservation and took my bags. They gave me directions to the sky lobby where the front desk was. At check in, I was assisted by 2 staff members, a lady who checked ID and made keys and a gentlemen who explained the amenities and talked a little about the hotel. The gentlemen greeted me by name every time he saw me for the rest of my stay, and is one of the highlights of the hotel’s service. Reservation was booked though Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts, and a benefits letter was given. I was not informed of Afternoon tea being included with the reservation.
Housekeeping: Requested housekeeping items thought the ipad, which were delivered quickly. Turndown was done in the evening.
Communication: You could communicate to staff with a messeging system on the in room ipad and call the desk for any help.
Dinning: 7/10
I was able to have dinner at the Yi Lounge, which had a stunning view of The Bund. Service was slower pace, as server checked in once in a while. Roasted chicken was great, but truffle risotto was underwhelming.
Afternoon tea was also served at the Yi Lounge, and had an excellent selection of sweet and savory bites.
Breakfast was served at Centouno. It had a buffet with a small separate menu you could order items from such as broths, dumplings, and eggs.
Amenities: 3/5
The hotel has an indoor swimming pool on the 85th floor. Pool was large and heated, but there was visible rust in what seemed to be am aluminum finish. A better design would have been to put the pool against the window and and lounge chairs on the interior.
The in room ipad allows for easy communication without need to call staff on phone
Ambiance: 8/10
The ground level had the hotel entrance and features a stunning Chinese design, with bright colors. There are 2 doors which you go past to take you to the lifts to get to the main lobby. At night, key card is required to enter the main lobby.
The main lobby was on the 101st floor. The elevator ride from the ground lobby to main lobby took around 1min 30sec. Main lobby also features a bright and modern design with Chinese influence. On the way to the front desk, you pass by the guest elevators which take you to the guest room separately. The lobby was incredibly clean.
The main lobby felt quite busy most of the day which negatively affects the ambiance score.
Total: 49/60 (November 2025 Stay)
